Clackmannanshire Needs A Visitor Information Centre!

2 July 2009

Walks update: I have at last completed writing up the full version of the circular walk along the Devon River and hope to do the concise one shortly. I haven't re-dated it.

Clackmannanshire is a great place to visit and, being roughly equidistant from and having good access to Perth, Edinburgh and Glasgow, and with a good road west to St. Andrews and east to Loch Lomond, also makes a good base for exploring much more widely.

That made it such a surprise, that the Visitor Information Centre has gone.

The possibility of an un-staffed information point would be better than nothing, but really Clackmannanshire surely justifies more than that.

Hopefully when the economic situation gets back to normal VisitScotland will reconsider their decision.
